WORK ORDER: 010
NOTE:
YOUR UNIT HAS BEEN CHOSEN TO TEST REPUBLIC'S NEW XP72 EXPERIMENTAL PURSUIT
AIRCRAFT. THE XP72 HAS INCORPORATED THE R-4360 3450 HP 18 CYLINDER PRAT &
WHITNEY DOUBLE WASP ENGINE. WITH THIS NEW ENGINE THE XP72 WILL HAVE A TOP
SPEED OF 490MPH, WHICH IS A GOOD 60MPH FASTER THEN THE P47D. IT HAS BEEN
DETERMINED THAT THE HIGH ALTITUDE PERFORMANCE CAN BE IMPROVED WITH THE
INCORPORATION OF A EXTERNAL SUPER CHARGER SCOOP. THE PLANES THAT YOUR UNIT
WILL BE TESTING HAS NOT YET INCORPORATED THE EXTERNAL SUPERCHARGER SCOOP, BUT
IF YOUR UNIT APPROVES OF THE AIRCRAFT THEN IT WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE
PRODUCTION MODEL. YOUR UNITS MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO DETERMINE BETWEEN THE TWO
DIFFERENT ARMAMENT ARRANGEMENTS. ONE ARMAMENT ARRANGEMENT INCORPORATES SIX
20MM CANNONS AND THE SECOND INCORPORATES FOUR 37MM CANNONS. THERE ARE SOME
SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR ALL P47D PILOTS! THIS XP72 CAN EXCEED 600MPH IN A DIVE
AND ALL PILOTS ARE WARNED TO WATCH OUT FOR EXCESSIVE DIVE SPEEDS! IT HAS BEEN
FOUND NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL OUT OF SOME OF THESE HIGH SPEED DIVES. AS
ALWAYS TO MAINTAIN SECRECY OF THE XP72 WE WILL NOT UPGRADE THE PREFLIGHT BOARD
YET.

NOTE: THE FOWLING PROCESS WORKS ON AOTP V1.2 WITH WWII:1946 OR 1946 PATCH A
1) COPY THE FILE NAMED "P47.FMD, P47.GL & P47.GLT INTO THE DIRECTORY CONTAINS
YOUR AOTP FILES. IF YOU WANT TO TEST THE SIX 20MM CANNONS THEN COPY AND
RENAME THE PG13-20.GL FILE TO P47.GL AND THEN COPY AND RENAME THE
PG13-20.GLT FILE TO P47.GLT.
2) THAT IT, YOUR DONE. WASN'T THAT EASY!
